Chicken Portrait, 20 x 16 in. on deep edged (cradled) wood panel, done with permission of photographer Archie Tucker. Acrylic. $400

All of my small birds for {9} The Gallery’s Tiny Works show Dec 2016 sold, but I have a couple more at home (below) and will likely make more because they were fun!

BIRD 6 (aka BIRD F), mixed media on panel, 6 x 6 in., ready to hang, no frame needed.  $90.

Bird Suit, mixed media on wood panel, about 5 x 7 (but not quite, does not fit standard frame, so I put a ring on it so it can hang without a frame). $50

“Sinister,” mixed media on paper, art is about 9 x 11-ish inches. Matted/framed. $250.

Mean Rooster, acrylic palette knife painting, 24 x 36 inches on canvas. $600

Heard of Grasseaters, mixed media on paper, art approx. 13 x 9 inches. Matted/framed. $250

Tomorrow by Cindy Schnackel

Tomorrow, acrylic, 9 x 12, framed $300

Hide and Seek, framed, acrylic 12 x 9 in. $300. This is a rework from a couple years ago. I had set it aside and not shown it, not really sure I was done. Then I got it out again this year and added more flowers and another monster! Probably influenced by the millions of yellow and orange daisies that we grew this spring.

Fragonard’s Cat, Acrylic on guitar, painted area 14 x 18 in, total height 38 in., $400

BELOW: Some small pieces that will likely be in one of my Sept/Oct 2016 shows, plus however many more I have time to make by then.

Miniatures, from $45, range in size from just under 4 x 4 in up to around 5 x 7. Some have sold but I always make more! Currently, I have several of these wood block mini’s at {9} The Gallery, 1229 Grand Ave, Phoenix, AZ, in the gift shop. Ask for them or look on the shelves, the move around as shows change. Some sit on a shelf, others have to be hung.

Thrift Store Makeovers, noted below, are mostly acrylic on reprints purchased at second hand stores. In some cases I used collage of my own drawings. Most are on rigid surface reprints; occasionally a canvas or on paper. I keep the thrift store frame to retain the thrift store feel, only repairing what is necessary, and usually attaching new hanging hardware, new glass if called for. I started doing these in 2014 and had a show at the R. Pela Gallery in Phoenix of this genre in 2015. I still do them occasionally, and the smaller investment in materials and time allows me to price them affordably, even some of the big ones. I’ll be showing some of them at the Icehouse in Phoenix during March 2017’s Art Detour weekend.

Bigfoot at Giverny, acrylic on large framed poster of Monet reprint, $300

Bugged Office, collage on reprint, framed, 8×10-ish, $100

Bullies, 17 x 20, framed, acrylic on reprint, $300

Carrot Love, 12 x 16 faded thrift store reprint, transformed with acrylic paint. Special show price only $150, available at the Icehouse gallery in Phoenix during Art Detour weekend, Mar 18-19, 2017.

That Quarantined Family, mixed media, approx. 20 x 20 inches, $200. This was to be in the thrift store makeover show but wasn’t finished in time. The frame (or whatever it originally was) is a thrift store find; the monsters are all original new mixed media on mat board.

Bottle/Jar Cap Birds, $20 each, (ask about volume discount!) Acrylic on Caps, I have a number of these left, from beer bottle cap size to small jar lid size.

Bottle Cap Birds are the smallest paintings I’ve done so far! Each is hand painted on a bottle cap that I prepared by abrading off the printing and to give the metal enough tooth to hold a good acrylic sealer. They are very durable. The hanging rings are mostly recycled pop can rings.

Giant Coffee Drinking Chicken

Giant Coffee Drinking Chicken, Cindy Schnackel, Acrylic, 60 x 48 inches, $3000

Prices include frame where noted. If you want me to frame an unframed piece, or buy a framed piece without the frame, inquire please.

Shipping, insurance, & handling extra, based on estimates I get from my shipper and any packing materials or special labor required.

Purchase of art does not transfer copyrights.

If you purchase art please refrain from posting straight-on shots of your purchase online as this creates infringement problems for me. Ask me for a watermarked image or use room shots etc where the art itself is not ‘usable’ in the image. Please ask if you are unsure what I mean.

Art is delivered/shipped when payment in full has cleared, and I am expecting to get square up or some payment method so I can accept cards in 2017. Otherwise once paper checks clear I can turn over the art. Galleries almost always process payments for artists and art usually stays in shows til they are over.

Custom work: On occasion I take commissions, such as pet portraits or other scenes, if my style is what is wanted. Depending on the commission, I require a minimum of 25% of the total estimated price as a nonrefundable deposit. This is to cover my time and materials enough to get started. The more personal and non-saleable the piece would be, the more deposit I might require. Pieces that are entirely something I might do anyway and that I could sell call for smaller deposits. I’m flexible, especially with buyers I know. Don’t be afraid to ask questions. I do charge a bit more for custom work, usually, because there is more time involved. Commissions are not “works for hire” by the US Copyright Office’s definition, so as with other purchases I retain copyright. If the work is for something where the buyer needs to buy or license the rights the price/terms can be discussed.
